There is a price increase on your waste collection fee on the monthly water bill. Single family went from $18.82 per month to $25.20 per month. The significant increase is due to AN EXPIRING 5 YEAR CONTRACT; ALTHOUGH NOW LOCKED IN FOR THE NEXT 5 YEARS. There should have been a notice in the January and/or February bill that stated the increase was now in effect. Please note that this fee includes curbside trash and recycling pick up, as well as weekly brush chipping service, and the fall curbside vacuum leaf pick up.

PAPER FORMS ARE LOCATED ON OUR WEBSITE, AT THE LIBRARY, ON THE COUNTER IN THE MAIN LOBBY OF MUNICIPAL BUILDING, AND IN THE DISPLAY RACK NEAR THE CITY OFFICE IN THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING. AGAIN THIS YEAR, IF YOU WANT TO COME IN AND WAIT WHILE WE COMPLETE YOUR TAX FILING, YOU WILL NEED TO SET UP AN APPOINTMENT. THIS ALSO CAN BE DONE STARTING FEBRUARY 1, 2023.
Attention former Deer Park Students/Alumni: There is a monthly social gathering for all those that attended Deer Park Schools. Meet Ups are generally the 2nd Wednesday of the month, at noon (until approx 3 pm). Next three gatherings are scheduled at the Francis R Healy Community Center: Wed Feb 8, 2023, Wed March 8, 2023, and Wed April 12, 2023. Bring your own lunch. Eat, chat and catch up.

Since Christmas Day and New Year's Day fall on Sundays this year, there is no change to your pick-up day during the upcoming holidays. *** Christmas trees can be placed at the curb for disposal as part of the weekly brush chipping service. Brush chipping is on Fridays after the end of leaf pick-up season, however, it is scheduled to run prior to the Fridays the week of Dec 19th and the week of Dec 27th, due to the Holidays. ***
The current Community electric aggregation program expires in December 2022. The goal for Energy Alliances, the Community's energy consultant, was to find an alternative supplier able to beat Duke Energy Ohio's default generation rate of 6.38 cents per kWh before the program's expiration. After thorough analysis, Energy Alliances did not find a supplier that could compete with Duke Energy Ohio's rate and suggested to the Community that they not renew the electric aggregation program at this time.
