Deer Park Residents Recycled 442 TONS in 2017
Congratulations Deer Park residents! In 2017, we recycled 442.20 tons of metal, glass, plastic and paper. Residents saved resources, conserved energy, and reduced pollution by recycling.
The recycling efforts in Deer Park:
- Conserved enough energy to power every home in Deer Park for 13 days.
- Reduced more air pollution than if every household in Deer Park rode their bicycle to work for two months.
- Saved 3,871 trees from being harvested.
On average, each household in Deer Park recycled 400 pounds in 2017. That’s 12.96% of all the waste we generate.
Thank you Deer Park!

Waste Collection Rate Increase
Waste Collection and Recycling rate increase effective Jan 2018 -
As part of the Center for Local Government Consortium, the City of Deer Park has negotiated a five year contract with Rumpke for trash and recycling pick up services for single and two family residences.
The fee covers weekly curbside trash and recycling pick up as well as weekly brush chipping and autumn curbside vacuum leaf collection.
The billing will remain on the Greater Cincinnati Water Works bill, which is now in monthly format. The monthly fee for single family increased approximately $2 per month from the 2017 rate.
While this is an increase in the monthly fee, we were able to lock that rate in until 2023, which will benefit the residents of Deer Park.
