Every Little Bite Helps poster

The Deer Park Community Schools have begun their annual Holiday food drive; collecting canned goods and paper products at various locations, from now through Dec 11, 2019.  There is a collection/donation barrel in the lobby of the Deer Park Municipal Building.  The Lobby is open during normal business hours, as well as during the evening of council meeting nights.  We thank you for your support.

Southern Cross Inc, will be in the Deer Park area in the near future, on behalf of Duke Energy.  They are inspecting gas metering equipment and piping inside buildings, as required by the US DOT.  Each inspection generally takes approximately 10 minutes. The Southern Cross Inc representative will have a visible picture ID, with Southern Cross Inc and Duke Energy contact information.  They will have a Southern Cross Inc logo on their vehicle.  Click here for their announcement letter.

The I & O Railroad will be doing extensive repair work along the rail line from Norwood to Blue Ash.  This will entail the temporary closure of two crossings in Deer Park.  The crossing at Matson Ave is scheduled to be CLOSED on or after Sept 2nd for three days.  The crossing at Schenck is scheduled to be CLOSED on or after Sept 5th for three days.  Click here for a detour map.  Thank you for your patience.

Please be aware that on September 4, 2019 at 9 a.m., Hamilton County Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency (EMHSA) will be doing a countywide test of the Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) system. This test will result in a text-like message, accompanied by a special tone & vibration, to be sent to all WEA-capable phones within Hamilton County.  Click here for more information.

Deer Park Schools, Sycamore Township, and the Bridge of Hope Church are hosting a Community Forum regarding our community and understanding the impact of substance use disorders is scheduled for Tues Aug 27, 2019, at the Deer Park High School. (dinner @ 5, program @ 6 pm).  Please click here to view the flyer with additional information.

The Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati (MSD) offers a Customer Assistance Program (CAP) to help low-income senior citizens pay their sewer bills. If you meet the MSD CAP eligibility requirements, you will receive a 25% discount on your monthly sewer charges. The estimated annual savings for a MSD senior customer is $120 (or more) per year.
